MIRAGE
Synopsis: My Thesis presentation was titled Mirage. This story was based on many different themes (including hope, despair, perception, and state of mind). The story involves the trials of a soldier who has found himself in a precarious situation. As the story progresses, the soldier’s physical and mental states deteriorate. These effects eventually begin to alter the soldier’s perceptions of reality. This leads to the end of the story; where the soldier encounters a creature which could be interpreted as either friendly or hostile.
A Soldier's Struggle To Survive
For my thesis presentation, I created a PowerPoint slideshow and an article layout. Within the layout were the three inter-connecting elements of the story: the protagonist character (a soldier who is stranded on an alien planet), the antagonist character (a mysterious creature), and the hostile environment backdrop. Throughout the layout were images illustrating the progression of the story and its characters.

These elements combine to illustrate the story of a soldier caught in a dire situation.
